Hey guys,

So not new to the forum read alot but this is my first post, i ride a lot, all about the free riding style and I got myself an idea of building a ramp into a dam... This will really be helpful as you can practice and have so much fun doing it...

So to find a dam is another thing, on the spruit before emmarentia by the skinny bridge there is a mini dam which seems appropriate, but as with many building problems i know i could get into a lot of trouble...

So whats the worst that can happen if i choose to build this ramp??

Thanks

Mr Christmas Tree is also keen on a dam jump... but I think the safest bet is to find a buddy with a small holding and a dam.

Sadly, just about any building on the spruit is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Well if it's on the spruit I'd include the following 'worst things'

Bilharzia

Cholera

Ecoli

Typhoid

Bubonic Plague.........the list is endless...............nuke.gif

Myself and Mr Christmas Tree had a closer look at said dam on saturday. That water is super manky. There are also some giant carp in there that may swallow your bike.

If you want to get airtime, try tricks, and not hurt yourself... go to Jozi-X (across from the PWC/Toyota/MTN bike park. On wednesday nights they have airbag sessions. It's R50 for the night. I think they do the same on Sundays.

The idea is spot on and could turn out to be a lot of fun

Implementing it anywhere along the spruit is just looking for issues.

Patches we really need to organise a airbag jump session and then invite all to come and join in on the fun that will ensueclap.gif

Thanks for the replies guys...

Yeah a person with a dam would be preferable but those kind of people are few ad far in between...

As for the diseases i'm not too stressed (ive swam in way worse and i'm still kicking) but the law suits are a bit of a problem which I was worried about, but if no person knows who built maybe I can avoid that...

Thanks for the heads up on the airbag session i will definitely take a look at that, but I still think a dam would be sweet!

There is one ramp at van gaalens into the river but the possible crocodile thing is a bit worrying...

Never jumped onto an airbag but some years ago I jumped into a foam pit. Oodles of fun but trying to get out was an absolute ball ache and you got covered in small pieces of foam which made you itchunsure.png
