The last few weeks wehere really not the easiest, I am usually a very motivated and focused person.

But the last few weeks I totally lost my mojo, I don't want to eat right anymore, I struggle to train, and when I get myself to start a session, I waste my time to tossing around.

How do I get my mojo back, how do I get the will to start pushing it again.

I need help.

I'm no pro, but I believe Prof Tim Noakes refers to this (in running) as "the plods". Perhaps you just need to cut yourself some slack, give yourself a couple of weeks off training, eat whatever you like, sleep, read, play, do whatever you feel like doing that doesn't involve a bike and enjoy it. When you've rested enough (physically and mentally) your mojo will return. It always does wink.png

Step away until you miss your bike and hunger for a ride?

Go swim laps in the pool or run a bit to stay fit until the desire returns?

Spend money on something new bike parts, enter races weeks/months in advance, this way you are committed & might find your mojo again.
this only works to a very small degree.

I've just come out of a two year loss of mojo. I tried everything from entering races to buying new things to just forgetting about the bike completely. Heck at one stage I bought a bike seat for my little one, strapped it to the MTB and got the wife to join me for very slow very short rides. Nothing.

But nearly two years later I got motivated by someone else to ride and that got me back into it.

This is what i have done. Locked the bikes in garage in Feb this year. About 3 weeks ago the passion popped up again. I am slowly doing more and more and unlike in the past i don't even bother with a hr monitor anymore. I ride how i feel and it feels great!
