I went into this race with a stock standard Raleigh Hydra 29er as acquired from Makro. Bought it for R4k. Figured if I'm going to break stuff, I should leave the expensive toys home... Thing is this poor little donkey of a bike just kept on soaking up the punishment... No hassles or complaints. What a little gem!

Myself and mackie ordered six beers between the two of us as a first round, the first two, we absolutely inhaled...didn't touch sides...

I must admit, my khaki shirt wasn't the best idea, demmit that thing is hot

Hey you never said a word to me about the shirt being too hot. Just admit to everyone what you told me about sore nipples. Might have been a good idea to apply your chamois cream higher up :-)

I will admit i was a little tired after the race so my first beer took a little while but after that one the pace started picking up

I havent seen this before but the organisers DQ'ed a guy for using earphones... Good thing considering the techical aspect of the race could result in problems if you cant hear whats happening around you?

Totally BS... Prodigy on the uphills is totally performance enhancing!

On a serious note though, what is the point of doing a race then... stick to your indoor trainer if that's your attitude
