2013 Dischem ride for sight

We've raced on N17 before (early Emperors) but never on N3. Not sure if they can get full road closure, it's one thing to lock parts of the M1, M2 and N14 like 94.7 but N3 is much bigger.

 

Not a fan of out and back routes with riders on the return leg while i'm still riding out. Never the less the race is on my doorstep so i'll be there.

Flat? I seem t remember a few nasty pulls around the reserve and a bitch out of Heidelberg. Are those not on this new route? A long one for sure. I like that

I was an advocate of sending the longer route through the reserve for a full lap, but was sadly outvoted. I'll keep trying for coming years though.

A lap through the reserve would make it simply the best race on the calendar

Proposed to do the same for the Elites for Carnival City Macsteel National Classic - maybe next year (2014).

It's still there, just on the N3 - and much longer than the climb on old route

Looks like it has been changed back to the old route and 116km, as per the entry page on Cyclelab?

Noticed the change in route and distance as well... Anyone got any info as to why? Was kinda looking forward to the extra distance

I would assume there was an issue with using the highway route.
