(Like I said in the enduro bike thread, I am all for colours, but damn, some people just went a bit overboard lately with the combos)

The mint green is not bad but hells bells orange with purp looks like a Christmas tree gone wrong. Edited by Bizkit031

Ow, did you get it stitched?

Ja, sure did.

An awesome Dr Odendaal, an ex SADF medic, cleaned it out and stitched it up in a matter of minutes. Super cool. No pain.

Gonna see him later today to see if external stitches can be removed yet.

Specially opened up his office to sort it out chop chop.

Got internal and external stitching done as damage was pretty deep inside.

Missed main artery and damaged no muscle tissue, nerves or ligaments.

No bleeding whatsoever throughout or pain.

Crazy thing is that If I had braked any less or later & not lay the bike down the branch would have gone through my face/head or throat or severed the artery in my arm. Pretty wild.

Interestingly enough I knew I shouldn't  have gone to Paarl, but blew it off instead.

Even got a txt before leaving to rather come ride the new black trail at Jonkers.

Turned that down as I felt I gave my word to go ride with others and don't like going back on my word. There's more going on around us than we realise ... we just need to pay attention to the detail.

....

... speak out loud though .... to myself ... as I keep playing the incident back through my mind.

It is the mountain after all ... like going for  a surf.

Never turn your back on the sea or waves.

Aaaaagh , just talking nonsense now.

Be safe out there

Happy Trails
