Maaknplan Posted May 23, 2013 Share Something Ive noticed while cycling is how many fellow cyclists do not even return a greeting.I commute to work and often pass other cyclist coming the other way or I am passed by other cyclists.I always give them the nod or say Howzit, its just unbelievable how many cyclists will totally ignore the greeting.In other sports if you meet someone who is engaging in the same sport they will generally be friendly. Red Zone Posted May 23, 2013 Share Depends on where you commute, in some areas in Cape Town it is acceptable to great, think Durbanville around the vineyards or farmlands, perhaps while cruising through Simon's Town or going around the point. But please don't for a minute think that I am going to nod my Kask helmet in Sky colours or lift my Assos begloved hand to you or even raise my eyebrows behind my Rudy Projects when I am riding to Vida in Camps Bay, Cruising to Cafe Nero in Mouille Point or even "slumming it" in Kalk Bay when going to Olympia.
