Damn dude, your left grip is so far away from the brake clamp it's not even visible in the shot! Or were you running gripless-style (a variation on the Blenki movement) at that stage?

That's Hope Tech levers for you. They sure pretty far inboard when setup for 1 finger braking.

Here you can see, I do run grips... rather worn out ones, but still grips

Why do you have good brakes on your trail and jump bike and the bike that actually needs good brakes has Codes?

I have 2011 Codes on a Boot'R and they are the strongest brakes I have ever used - am I missing something?

I'm just messing around. Codes are great. I had a set myself and loved them.

Also have them, love the brakes, levers are kinda crap design though, wish they could put the Slx lever on a Hope brake, those levers just about perfection for single finger braking. Weird that Hope would design the lever so long and flat more for multi finger braking when I'd think most Hope riders are the kind that would appreciate and use single finger braking style?

How would I need to heat/treat the stock Tech X2 lever to bend it, it just needs a little upwards scoop at the end of the lever so I can run them just a touch closer to the bars without crushing the finger next to my trigger finger when I really jump on the brakes?

Why is that bike so cheap and the guys neg, it looks like new and the ad says only ridden for 100hrs and it's just had the suspension serviced by Spez no doubt at their rather enormous charge?

It's like the guy is trying to give it away.

I know a guy who got one brand new for R12k as it was 'old stock' and a certain bike shop just wanted to swing it. Could be the same guy or the guy got the same deal and just wants roughly what he paid for it, minus a few bucks for the miles he put on it  Excellent deal.

I just bought a set of XT brakes on special at CWC so my pre-2011 Codes are for sale, with an extra set of Superstar Kevlar pads in the box...just sayin.
