Hey guys,

Looking for some advice, just bought a 2007/8 Giant Reign frame, need to buy a fork, what would you suggest?

I am planning on using the bike for enduro racing.

Thanks,

Dale

Early fox 36 vanilla (160mm or so)

RS Lyrik

RS Pike

RS Totem (old, heavy but bomb proof)

RS Domain

Marz 66 (if you can find one with a red dot in the fork crown area - also *** heavy but omfs WHAT A FORK!!!)

Marz 55

MRP Stage

X Fusion (sweep, I think)

Manitou Mattoc

DVO Diamond

That should do you well... On that frame, I'd say 150/160mm and maybe 170mm at a stretch. DON'T get a Fox 32. If you find a revelation in good nick, that's the only 32mm stanchioned fork I'd recommend.

So my Pyga OneTwenty front triangle got replaced under warranty for a cosmetic paint problem.

New bearings etc as well, so I essentially had a new frame...

Fortuitously....The Banshee's are on sale at the moment...So this Happened!

The Pyga with new bearings and front triangle will be going up for sale soon here ;) The new triangle is a beautiful colour as well.

Looking forward to taking this out for a spin later...rode on at their demo day for a good couple km...and was sold instantly...just had to wait for the right opportunity.

Unfortunately the old colour scheme on the bike was green and I figured the green would clash with the red...It does, but it's kinda growing on me :D

W2W s going to be epic on this with me flat pedals :P

SNAP TCHJINA!

Don't forget to post in the Banshee Thread!

Will post pics of a tip I got from one of the Andrew's at Stoke RE making a guard to protect your rear bearings from dust and mud.

They used a nice carbon sheet, I used a nice 3l milk bottle and it fits perfectly....must just remember to take pics tonight.

I see you also dropped it into the low setting ... have you tried the others yet?

Hahahah already made the protector for the back re-SAvage's recommendations. Use the Holdfast mudguard we got at the Jonkers enduro to make it.

Lemme go find that Banshee thread now ;)

And no, only put it together last night, so tonight will be the maiden voyage...unless you count the tar inside out complex at 11 pm last night!

I  built mine up late Friday night and have only managed a cycle to the LBS and PnP .... damned flu has hit me now as a chest cold!

You know you've bought a proper piece of kit when it arrives in it's own briefcase...
