SwissVan Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 And the speed of the caravan before the race comes through throwing the freebies out. That must be one of the kakkest jobs on the tour, driving one of those mobile show stands and having to deal with all the fans demanding something every day for 3 weeks...
Bonus Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 The Peloton on the Champs is fast, but even faster is any poor guy that had a mechanical and is trying to catch up - 2 inches behind any team car that will have him! Awesome! My fav quote of the last stage was from Cav - "I was pushing 1500 watts and usually when I do that I win by a few bike lengths" Froomes speech was cool. Looking forward to seeing him in November :-)
Eugene Oppelt Posted July 28, 2013 Author Posted July 28, 2013 “I would have loved to have been there and would have found it very difficult to watch. I’ve just been trying to focus on positives, really, rather than sitting depressed in front of the TV. I only watched the first stage, as I heard the bus had knocked the finish line down. I followed it from afar but it was too painful to watch.” Wiggins, TdF yellow jersey winner 2012 Bonus 1

T-Bob Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 and wondering whether I was really the best last year.... Wow, I thought we'd all got over that one. Wiggins results last years were great, I'm fairly sure he's not wondering what could of been.
Butch Cassidy Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 When will we start hearing about the doping. Who will make confessions after retiring that they doped. Was way to good to be true.

Jaco-fiets Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 Really sad! Think they really pushed it to stay in the game for this year already. The Spanish economy is suffering and we might see more Spanish sponsored teams loosing pulling out in the next year or 2. Movistar comes to mind
Eugene Oppelt Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 “I'm disappointed... but content to be there as [part of] the best team. That leaves a good taste in the mouth... We have to analyze what went wrong going into next year... We will do everything to beat Chris Froome.” Contador, reflecting on TdF 2013
