Don't know how PaddyPower worked out those odds

Its early days and if theres money pouring in on certain riders then odds will shorten.

Interesting how the bookies give Van Garderen better odds that Evans at BMC...

Logical I'd say. Everyone other than BMC management know that TJ will be a stronger contender at the tour than Cuddles.

OK probably they know it too - but they are going through the motitons out of respect or whatever. Don't expect TJ to be carrying any bottles for Cadel though...

Yep - such as Porte I'd say. I liked him as a podium darkhorse, but between Uran at 200/1 or even (80/1 depending who your bookie is) and Porte at 25/1 - I'd take a punt on Uran any day.

Yeah hopefully Teejay accidentally loses radio contact on the first mountain stage and drops Evans...

Uran is available at 100/1 from most bookmakers.

Porte is around 33/1.

Outside bet - Quintana at 25/1 or better.

Rumour on twitter - Mauro Santambrogio also tests positive for EPO

EDIT: heres the tweet

Pier Bergonzi@pierbergonzi2m

Disastro! Anche Santambrogio positivo x Epo. Dopo la prima tappa del Giro.

Old elephant Cadel still has life in those legs, and experience.

He did battle with some kinda bug in TdF 2012.

Tejay is definitely the future - 2014.

Is he still able to contest the white jersey?

Cadel did way better than I expected in order to podium at the Giro, but he was hanging on for dear life at the end, and I'm not sure he would have done so had the high mountain stages in week 3 not been curtailed... Just don't see how he can repeat and improve on that at the tour.... Wouldn't mind being wrong - but I just can't see it. Meanwhile,Teejay was in full control at the tour of California...

One week vs 3 weeks....

Experience vs youth...

Tejay has now tasted team leadership...

Hmmm...

Let's see, dracs.
