Mine takes 15sec to calibrate, before sw update 10sec.

On my old 500 I found it took a fair amount longer to get a GPS signal - but there was better battery life too, so it was worth doing the update - unfortunately broke the 500 in March and now using a 510 and a 810.

also using the 500, and yes, GPS does take a while, but I've got a minute or two.

What ant+ stick are you using?

The one that came with the peddles. Now discovered that the shop mounted the peddles wrong. Spacer was inserted on the wrong side of the pod. May have damaged the pod. Waiting on confirmation.

Exactly the same issue. Idiots at Solomons told me they had installed 20 Vectors that month and put the spacers on the wrong side of the pod. Pedal kept losing connection, power was down... when I checked closely the pod shell was cracked and Solomons had it replaced.

Yep. When I first got mine the mechie at the shop told me the first one's he ever mounted basically cracked when he tightened the peddles. For what it is the pods should really be a lot more robust in my opinion. Garmin shouldn't design stuff and think we'll just write something in a manual for installation. Just because it's in a manual doesn't mean people will read it. They should design and produce adequate products first and not be writing manuals to cover themselves.

Anyway pods now fooked it seems, so to replace them. But I also swopped out the pods left to right peddle and the left peddle still wouldn't update. Process of elimination continues. If you thinking to buy these, just the sort of thing to consider carefully.

Now it's about how they (shop and Garmin) choose to handle this. At least the shop put their hands up and said: "Sorry about that we'll make things right!" It's not ideal, but yeah.....!

From what I've read on the Garmin forum is that Garmin replaces all pedal pods with a more robust type of material. Not sure exactly what, but refer to forum.garmin

Started getting "power meter battery low" warning on my Garmin. Swapped the battery out and now it cannot find the power meter at all. So tired of this piece of &^%!

Is the battery the correct way inserted?

I've had zero issues with my vectors.

Wow, bleak to hear about all the issues. So strange they took so long to release and still have these issues!

Hope the Garmin guys in SA sort you all out with V2.0

Besides these issues are they reliable when they do work?

After all the delays in getting it onto the market my thoughts was.... "Give it a year or 2 before taking the plunge...."

I didn't listen to myself.

It has worked well though, when it did.
