Ok I know it's early days but let's set up a challenge for next year. Everyone was up for the Iron man challenge until we actually got there and the enormity of 13 runs on 11 Alps in 1 day sank in.

Lets have a max vertical challenge.

Any day. Any runs. Any location in the PDS most vertical in 1 day wins. Data has to be verifiable by Strava or Garmin etc etc. So basically the Saffer who does the most vert in the PDS in a single day wins.

Erm.

So my bike took a tad bit of strain. Freehub cracked in 3 places. and all hub bearings are dustbin bound.

You guys should really consider Meribel area. The riding passes are much cheaper and the trails have NO breaking bumps. There are plenty of lifts and the trails are pure rough terrain. I'll post pics and vids on my fb for those that's on there and can/want to load them here. Farking awesome not shaking due to braking bumps! Loving it. (Passes are for 3 valleys and the busses are free (for everyone) and bike friendly)

This pic captures this trip for me. 3 Mates on an Alp checking out Mont Blanc about to burn down the hill to the town below.

I think I want to go live in France.

PDS

Meribel / 3 valleys

Chamonix

Les Arcs

Sospel / Trans Provence etc.

The list just goes on. Epic riding with uplift. It's just ridiculous.

Even in the PDS the 151 euros we paid for 12 days is a joke for what you're getting. Have a look what a lift pass for whistler costs.

Checking out the photos - want to be back already.

Now I'm getting depressed :(

Sounds like a stop off for a 2015 trip. Pics please.

Is that the air voltage drop?

Ja that's on Air Voltage. You can see that road gap from the bottom lift as you lave the lift station. There's another that's just as big and possibly a bit more difficult on the trail. You have to be a seriously skilled and balsy rider to hit this type of thing. The one guy on the trip did Air Voltage on a Giant Trance!!!!

And let's not forget Switzerland and Italy (Pila, Alpi etc) all within easy driving distance. I want to go and live there too. Badly!

Looks a lot bigger in that pic than in the vids. Vids and pics never do terrain justice.

On second thoughts, Surely he didn't do those drops on a Trance?
