As a heavier than normal guy that could work..... I am leaning towards a no wheeled chair however as I am finding current office chair sucks for comfort soon as mechanism starts wearing (2months in). Latest one I refurbished welding chair together again, Its just not quite right.

Yeh I have a standard non wheeled office chair at home for my desktop, and it's comfortable, so I'm content with that.

Bought Death Stranding on Friday night and spent a little bit of time on it this weekend. 

 

What a damn masterpiece. Incredibly immersive even if it is slow and frustrating at time. 

 

Hope to see other members here get into it so we can compare notes.

Yeh I'm not interested in either of the next gen consoles, but it is interesting to read about them.

I recently ordered Samurai Shodown and WRC 8 for the Switch, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for PC, so I should be good for a while in the gaming side of things.

Mind if I ask what you paid for those titles on switch? I ask because on PC I downloaded Samurai Shodown from the Epic store. It was free a couple weeks back. WRC8 was also free on xbox gold fairly recently too. And then Witcher 3 is also on game pass. To be fair. Gold and Gamepass are paid subs that I have. But I sub to ultimate which includes both for around R150pm on average.

Any of you watch Xbox's live title reveal and showcase for the new console last week?

I have to say. What an absolute **** show compared to Sony. I feel like they rushed it, didn't show enough actual gameplay, and the footage that was shown was very underwhelming. There was nothing to blow me away. Especially when I reflect back to Sony's reveal. The games featured did not in anyway seem like next gen footage. I think Fable may have had me interested for a moment but I certainly didn't feel engaged or amped for its release in anyway. But with sony reveal? Hell even the new ratchet and clank had me amped. There was such a diverse array of games showing off what different kind of titles will look like on the next console. It blew me away. Everything just looked so dope that I couldn't help be impressed. Their presentation on the whole also seemed so much better. Like they were cramming as much of what they could into such a short amount of air time and I got the feeling like there was so much more they wanted to show but couldn't. Xbox on the other hand stretched out the content they had with unnecessary irrelevant fillers which just didnt help them in anyway because when they did show actual gameplay it just felt so unprepared, haphazzard and luke warm in terms of appeal at best. I mean. I'm saying this as an xbox owner here. I should be rooting for them. But it was just trash

Yeh from what I've seen on social media, a few other peeps also said the Xbox live event for July was a bit of a letdown. Although, Fable would catch my interest if I was interested in getting an Xbox Series X. I had Fable on my Win XP rig and enjoyed it. Nah, nowadays if I see a PC game that my PC can run and if I think I'll enjoy the game, then I'll make the purchase. I downloaded TrackMania the other evening on Uplay as I enjoyed jamming it in the early to mid 2000's.

Good old Quake....I was staying at a mates place many years ago when this came out as, his folks were heavily religous so you can imagine their dismay when we would be up all night jamming this game! And the Nine Inch Nails music went so well with it!

Yeh I enjoyed Quake, the Nailgun and Super Nailgun were my favourites. I missed out on Quake 2 and 3, but had Quake 4 - I thought 'shite these graphics are good.' I wish there was a new Quake.

I watched a breakdown of the pricing and what value you get for your money on Youtube. It basically comes down to either Standard or Premium, with the mid pack Deluxe being of no real value for the additional R400 over Standard. If you want all the airports and full scenery, go Premium. If you just want to have a very decent sim and are not going to go full-tilt PC pilot, then Standard will suffice.

 

For the Standard version at R999 or R1900 for Premium you are getting way more than having FSX, Prepar3D or X-Plane 11 with payware add-ons.

Quake had epic story line game play. I liked unreal tournament better for multiplayer than Quake 3 though as the general Q3 player in sa was uber skilled making it super hard to actually have fun and just play.
