Stuck between sizes!

So I am ordering a Merida Big Nine tfs 900 for triathlon.

I am 1.90 cm, thus right in between a 19 and a 21 inch frame size.

I live a ling way from any bike shops, so can't go in and try both.

Could you please help me in selecting a size? My LBS recommends the size smaller,

but I think he is just trying to make the sell since he doesn't have a 21.

Thanks for your help!

I'm 1.84m tall and ride a 20 inch mtb frame. Methinks the 21 inch sounds closer to right for a 1.9m tall bloke.

Edit: Why are you looking at a mtb for triathlon? Or is it for Exterra?

I was in the same situation, between small and medium. Took the medium, felt much more comfortable.

The rule of thumb, if you're in between sizes, go for the bigger size, more comfort. I'm between a small and medium and have ridden both, the bigger medium was miles more comfy.

I'd go with the one that you can stand over without crushing your nuts on the top tube :whistling:

Having just upped my size in road bike I can confidently say bigger is better.

As long as you know how to use it properly.
