Hi,

I'm looking to service my dual air rockshock. Any recommendation where it can be done without being ripped off and hopefully does not take weeks to do?

Cheers!

Thanks guys

Gearman, we've got all we need in stock, it'll cost you R750 (unless you're a TMB member, in which case you can knock off 10%) and barring any serious issues we'll have it back to you the next day.

Ground floor, 370b Main Road, Obs, and I'm in every weekday from 12 till 6. If you want to arrange a drop off outside of these times, drop me a mail here and we can make a plan.

R750 is what most if not all bike shops ask for a full service ........unless you know something we don't know?

I must be out of date. I can't ever remember it being that much. But both my shocks are new so I had better start saving up for their services. I just think that is expensive. I will need to phone my bike shop and find out what I am in for.

Thanks for updating me!

Phone around though.

I do know that the Stoke boys are using some rather special suspension fluids and they are specialising .... so all in all if they are a few SA Rondt more expensive at the end of the day it might well be money well spent.

Speed of service is also a big bonus.

I just did my rockshox revelation (the oils I already had from a previous service, but they can cost anything from R100 to R200 per liter. The kit you get includes everything and some more (includes O-rings, new air caps, C-clasps, ring clasps, and new valves and dust wipers.) The total seal cost comes to about R500 for a dual air U-turn if you buy it retail, so R750 seem OK on a dual air if you do everything.

We could do it for (a bit) less, but we prefer to maintain a certain level of service.

If you need to do a lowers service just do it yourself, no little parts flying everywhere and only like 15ml or so of oil in there anywhere so no big mess.

I use castrol magnatec for lowers RS lowers service(use correct weight fork oil for uppers service), virtually ideal viscosity - works like a charm and you can buy 500ml bottles at Midas/garage for around R30 , if you lucky no seals will be needed 45min later you'll be done!
