ABOUT FACTS THEN

With or without dope its a damn hard event, people seem to think doping means you guaranteed to win or do well, BUT fact is you still need blood sweat and tears to win a grand tour.

Enjoy the show

Not condoning doping at all, just don't take it personal if some twot dopes in an event I cannot ever hope to take part in.

I think I've just been hurt one too many times. I know we are supposed to always forgive but it's human nature that once burnt twice shy.

I used to get excited when a rider performed well and have support for certain guys whom I loved and would shout for and get excited over. But time and time again each one has now been stripped and shamed.

I just don't have the same excitement for the sport anymore purely because of it's long tainted history. The doping has stripped the joy of the sport for me. Which is actually very very sad and I'm sure many feel the same way.

It just seems to me you have a knack of chosing bad men (to support and be a fan).. and can't spot a good one if he pinched you

You were ticking boxes and then you go and un-tick one.

Come now my good man, have faith.

Typical female problem!!

I don't know if its typical but continuously being disapointed by role models starts cloud ones judgement till you make a conscious choice to chose differently.

Is Mr Froome racing clean? I don't know but I'd like to believe he is till proven otherwise. His personality alone sends out a message of confidence. When good people come along after so many bad, its natural to look for the bad first. If this is true then we've allowed the bad people to win and they have changed us.

I used to love this sport till the doping thing started getting completely out of hand. I had too take a couple of steps backward to get perspective. Its not about the Pro's, its about my enjoyment of riding a bike. If you're going to spend so muhc effort allowing bad apples to rule your mind then you will be poorer for it. Cycling is already a loser in the whole Pharmstrong® era don't pile on to it loss by supporting those who profit from sowing fear.

Sure genuine, serial dopers should be exorcised but I think a little belief in a kid who grew up among us justified.

(right we heard that story from Landis too, but as it turns out, he was certainly one bad ass Mormon)
