Hi

 

My name is Dirk and it has been 2 months since my last Ride.

 

It has become increasingly harder not to pick up my cycling magazines while going to the loo.

 

I have asked my wife to hide all my freeride/DH DVD's and ordered her not to give them to me, no matter how hard i beg, before I own a bike again.

 

To anyone reading this post, count yourself lucky that you can go and ride, I am truly missing riding and its donners difficult not being able to do so.

i could hadly manage 2 weeks without a ride.. nevermind 2 months.

 

only cure is riding i am afraid.. the rest are just placebo's.

I hear ya mate, my last ride was on 1 May this year. Doc says I'm still out for around 2 more months. When you finished with those cycling mags, i'll PM you my address and I'll find a good home for them...

Meneer i feel your pain. I took 4 weeks off after Sani and then as i started training again i got swine flu for 2 weeks and now a lung infection! Been another 3 weeks off the bike.

Did you smash your bike? Forgot where you parked it last? Or recovering from an ITB op like myself and after a month off only start to cycle now again...

Ultimately it was a financial issue that put me in a tight spot. I had to sell my bike.

All is better now but spending funds are limited.

But I will be back next December, at least thats the goal.
