Start of my SS build.

Did a quick mock up to check what parts I need.

Will be used as a commuter so being built out of (mainly) recycled parts.

Planning to run 34/18 for now (I'm scared of hills)

Agreed. I'm using 39/16 and it spins out quick. My only other option at the moment is 53/16 which makes me quiver a bit just skeeming about it.

Lekker frame Bro.

I have quite a few hills to contend with on my planned commute route (and the wind is always a factor)

will try it for now until I get stronger and change later on.

I am running a 53/20t and find it to be a great gear for general riding.

Another step closer.

Chrome fork restored (well mostly). The Prof Google method of wet sanding with foil works perfectly.

Thinking of giving it a clear coat to prevent it rusting again cause it's mos lekker by die see.

The "problem" I have though is I'm running Campy hubs. Finding a suitable sprocket was a mission. In fact I got the last one from Sprocket and Jack.
