Not so sure ... those fat tyred bikes supposedly offer a whole new riding experience.

Now for some real snow in CT and I will get one

Hairy, On-One had their fat bike as a rolling chassis on special offer a while back. If I'm not mistaken, excl UK vat it was around GBP420.

I've taken Crusher's Surly Moonlander for a quick ride and I must say I'm pretty impressed.

I'm thinking of getting some wide rims (Rabbit Hole 50mm) for my Karate Monkey and running a 29*3" tyre upfront with a normal 2.4-2.5" in the rear.

They are a gas to ride, but don't sit on one of their wheels, they can go over stuff you can't.

I wouldn't mind one....truth be told.

Hi hubbers,

I'm looking into building a fat bike. The question is: Carbon rigid fork or suspension fork? What do you think? The frame will be carbon ... Was thinking suspension fork ... want to go off-road. But then again Manie road one with a carbon rigid fork in the Epic...but then again ... it was Manie riding...

Any advice?
