haven't been a member for years, seeing that they run July to July should I join again?

was thinking about maybe doing some road fun rides and getting in on the argus bandwagon again?

well they have pulled finger and funded a lot of trail building in the Western Cape....

I'm not into the fun ride thing anymore - too many lunatics on bikes who train in a gym and therefore have zero bike handling skill- but supporting trail building is a worthwhile effort.

You're going to cause a Friday fight of some note, but yes, I think you should. Just to state my own position, I'm a PPA member (smiling) and I have a CSA license (grudgingly).

i don't need to join CSA to do a funride right?

Not normally in the Cape at least.

Joining the PPA gets you a permanent ride number and discounts on entry fees.

Just do not think about trying out the track discipline, you'll love it and will not be able to do anything fun with a PPA membership, oh wait PPA does not focus on track as a discipline anyway .... nuff said.

Well worth joining if you intend fun riding.

Membership brings many benefits including email notification of events, discounted entries to many events, a seeded funride number ...

I do miss the easy entry booklets though. :(

maybe a bit of the topic, but maybe someone can help me with this problem.

i was a ppa member while i was still in school. completed 2 argus's then.

then sometime later i joined again, but by that time the new SA id nrs have been issued.

so my old ppa number is linked to one id number, and the new ppa number is linked to my current id number.

i now want to rejoin again, but want to use the first ppa number cause on that number i have on record that i completed the argus twice while i was in school.

so i email ppa about this, asking them to change my id number, so that i can reuse the that ppa number.

but i have had no reply's yet.

anyone know of someone at the ppa that i can contact directly?

Thanks
