Same. I'd love to do the solo, but I really dont know if i have the mindset for it

That is my current worry, 369km is a far way to go. Hopefully not alone either, should be able to tie up with other riders along the way. I just have no idea how to pace myself accordingly.

It's not so bad, one just has to put your head down and ride well within yourself.

This is quite different to other 24 hours of lap racing (that stuff is hard)

Also the distance looks mean but it's relatively flattish .

Enjoy, me well still on the waiting list, hoping there will be a cancellation, and training as if I'm going.

Hehehe, not really... There is about 2900m of climbing of which 2100 is in the first 175km of the race. The biggest climb is in stage one - 10km up the Kupferberg Pass.

Pacing yourself - survive the first three stages and see how you feel. Not like me, blowing up after stage 2...

Riding with others - not so much. We were very spread out in the last few years - just you, the cars, the dust and the dark. Take some quality music because it gets very lonely at 2 o'clock in the morning.

This will be my 5th attempt and the second at the 370km.

Hopefuly I can make it 3 out of 5...
