It's not Moto GP but in 12 sleeps World Supercross is coming to CAPE TOWN!!!!

This is a vanishingly rare opportunity to catch a world championship motorsports event in SA and even more rare to get it in Cape Town. My tickets were booked the day they came on sale. Super Amped.

I've been on the fence for a while now. The rider lineup wasn't terrible initially but still lacked a tad. It seems more stacked now, so I bought a couple of tickets. Thanks for the reminder!

Roczen has withdrawn from the series. Reportedly because he fulfilled his contractual requirements to race the majority of the series. So 3 out of 5 races completed. Cheers I'm out of here.

Piss poor from him IMO. But the rider lineup is still stacked and with him gone there should be more of a dogfight for the title.

Let's be real here. It's definitely a second tier series at this point but if you want to see the factory rigs and a 20 rider gate you're going to have to fork out big money and go to the US.

Yip, you're right, it was wishful thinking of me. Especially considering it's mostly their off-season too. Nonetheless, I'm excited to see ACTUAL supercross racing.

Look to be fair, I'm a Saffa through and through and love watching Brad, but last season wasn't great and if he doesn't do something special this season, I'm afraid he is going to struggle for a seat next year.....

MotoAmerica going to be awesome.... Brad, Dazzer, Cam and Mathew. 😉

I hope he does something this year.  Otherwise he's going to be running Dad's factory in Krugersdorp next year.....

I don't think so. He'll get a factory ride in WSBK quite easily if all the good rides are taken in Moto GP.

Rumour has it he will go to tech 3 team in 2027. I just can’t see Steiner employing him but who knows how much money Brad brings with him. Not sure WSBK would be his choice, maybe stateside is the answer.

but ,we still have to get through 2026. And he has a good 8 or 9 months before that decision is made I reckon.

Swapped for a street-circuit of all things. Crazy business on so many levels but also intriguing.

I'm struggling to get hyped for WSBK. Dorna has also been renamed to 'MotoGP Sports Entertainment'....so uhhh...what about SBK?? I actually hope it gets bought by another entity that actually cares about making it more appealing again.

Modern Superbikes and 600s are so advanced and expensive these days, that WSBK should just be a proper Superstock series. Proper showroom-spec racing. That could dramatically lower costs and open the door for local racers around the world to enter when the series comes to town and actually be competitive.

Participation would increase. Grids would grow. The racing would become less predictable. And the entertainment value would likely go up as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend too.  The racing was top draw with plenty of passing. Overall results says alot but also leave more question marks now, about everyone and everything. So many factors and combinations are at play.

We get to see how it unfolds. Still very early days and the season is long but wow I didn't expect Ducati to take such a beating. Personally, I love the little Noale factory, so this moment is sweet!

Darryn had a pretty good debut over the weekend - was right up there during practice and ended up 4th.  Impressive!
