Told you at the beginning, write Vale off at your own peril.

What a race, MM93 had one of his amazing saves again, using his elbow to get the bike upright to prevent a front wheel washout.

Just remember, 1 race ago, he crashed.....

Let's not get too grootbek and curse him ????

I have watched the race yet, so my apologies if this comes across as facetious. But how did Wetblanket finish 10 spots down on Dovi? Results show a lap down too, hence me asking, that doesn't sound right.

He qualified in 21st spot, so finishing 15th is actually an good improvement for him. BUT, 6 riders DNF, so he actually finished where he started.

So there wasn't a big issue with bike changes, rain tyre selection etc?

Nah, only Zarco pitted quite early for a bike change to rain tires.(then got a drive through penalty for speeding in the pits)

But it had no real influence on the race outcome, The front 5 guys, VR46 to Dovi, were in a league of their own, nobody else came close to them.

Cal Crashalot had a blinder of a last few laps, reeled the front guys in with ease. A bit more rain, or a lap or two longer, the podium might have looked a lot different.

edit: O yeah, Zarco AGAIN made contact with Vale, ripped some of the stenciling off his race suit.

What Wannabe failed to mention is that it started drizzling during the race and some riders (including Lorenzo) came in for wet tyres - which was the wrong call as it was nowhere near wet enough, but he was up in 12th at one point in the race.

Of all the okes that pitted for rain tires, only Zarco was in any position to challenge the front runners, but also not really, as he was hanging onto the back of the the Rossi group for dear life. Would only have been a matter of time before they gapped him.

So I would venture to say that the rain (or lack thereof) did not impact the race in any major way.

Not the point I'm making. Lorenzo was in 12th, finished 15th because he pitted for wets. A point you failed to mention.

When you are talking about 12th vs 15th, it's doesn't really matter much.

Once again MotoGP doesn't dissapoint .

All 3 classes were great .

Vale was awesome , and Petrucci and Crutchlow stayed upright and got great results .

Maybe the pressure was getting to Vinales ??

Glad the weather didn't play too big a part ( except for Zarco ) but he was already being dropped .
