That little bump gave me one of the hardest falls of my life. I drifted left towards those trees and yanked the front brake mid air. Eina. 9 months later my shoulder still aches!

The like was in support of your recovery just to be clear.

Some of the "jumps" in that line can easily send you into the trees. Ive had close calls. Scary!

Funny how many of the hard fall stories I hear usually start off with a description of how things were starting to look bad and then the rider hits the front brakes .......

Emmarentia tree line is another one. You come out of the trail you bust a move over that little kicker followed by going back into the trees.

Inside that section you can link up different mound and kickers to create some nice jumps with some tight landings.

Crappy quality due to screen grab from video. And I am no Christmas Tree either.

Last time I tried that, I woke up two days later in Medi Clinic with a pipe in my throat.

So once in a while, when riding coloured trails (blue, red, green) some riders find a way to make these seemingly harmless trails into double black diamond type stuff.

For example, here is Mr Christmas-tree on a green trail (Rust Preventer) at the PWC bike park, and he has taken some simple rollers and decided to turn them into a 7m gap with a narrow landing, hard up into a berm.

My point being, that with some skill, and imagination, one can take what seem to be the easiest trails (like the Spruit for example) and turn them into something insane, purely by the way one rides them. (No trail modification needed)

This reminds me of this same xmas tree hitting the rocks next to the scout hall at that drop off. He was on his little Da Bomb play bike and the other guys trying with him where on DH rigs

I take exception to that place using the word bikepark to describe itself.

I know, I know

It's more like a park where one can ride a bike
