I managed to catch the last few kilometres of the opening stage yesterday, with Elia Viviani taking the opening stage victory.

 

Mark Cavendish had a good sprinting setup but then got boxed in and couldn't get out of a bad spot.

 

Real nasty crash with only a few metres to go saw a large amount of bunch riders going down, which was the result of a bit of pushing and shoving amongst the group.

Ja i understand it was a very wet and cold start to the race. Pretty much the same as yesterday, although yesterday it did clear up nicely
