So H is sitting on 5 points this week already.

Rouxtjie we better get out there on Sunday.

True the elusive A-batch board will put us ahead, we might need to wear full camo and build a hide to catch one of those...worth it

I believe in seeing the good in a bad situation, and I will be so bold as to suggest turning this "race number spotting" into a drinking game. Nominate one rider in your group to keep score, and at the next braai you have to down shots as per the number seen on rides.

Just a thought!

nah, I say if we catch you riding spruit or any other casual route with your board, we owe you a lammie.

@Karma...my approach is to try dissipate the hostility by positive reinforcement! My approach will make you guys want to see these guys with their boards!!

Your suggestion, if truth be told does have more appeal to me! But I just cant agree to it because I know I have slipped up and been out training with a number still present!!

But I like your thinking!!

Maybe helmetless genuinely forgot his helmet and maybe the dude who shouted HELMET was just trying to be helpful by reminding him....probably not the case otherwise he would have stopped and put it on, but then again maybe he left it at home?

But what I don't get is why get such a hair up your arse and create a whole thread calling someone a tonsil because he rode without a helmet, when did Saffas become so bossy?

If one elects not to wear ones lid on a ride, well then, frankly, its your noggin not mine. Being a parent, I often see parents cruising around with the kids not strapped up in their car seats, but either sitting on the front seat or moms lap. Is it safe, no I don't think it is, does it irritate me that some people can be so irresponsible - yes it does, do I get out of my car at the next traffic light to give those parents a stern talking to - no I don't.

Circle of concern, vs circle of influence. Does it concern me (worry me) that some people will ride without a lid, yeah of course it does, do I have any influence over making them wear a lid, no I don't.

I have seen enough serious head injuries and that is with guys wearing their lids, enough reason for me to wear one.

When did SA (and the world) become so judgemental?

Me - I like cruising the hood sans helmet sometimes. I even use takkies on the spds and wear a tee shirt!!!! Someone report me to the UCI.

Live and let live people. Any time you spend judging other people is time wasted. Unless it's funny. We can all do with more funny.

Like I previously said, what ticks me off the most is that because of one Person like that we could all get kicked out of modderfontein(and other Trails that have Rules and Regulations), same goes for the people speeding through the reserve(in there cars) and the okes who leave there punctured tubes on the trail. One Dead Animal with a tube around its neck and we all get kicked out.

One Person Ruining it For Everyone is what gets such a hair up my arse.

There is a time and place, but not wearing a helmet at a bike park is not one of them.

Sure if he was riding in the wrong direction around a blind corner on a high speed downhill then YES shout TONSIL for all you are worth....

I often see people here riding with their helmets resting on the handle bars....JA the helmet is off their head and resting on the handle bar, most often that's when they are riding up long uphill's or its a bit to warm....depending on how tired I am I either laugh (to myself of course) or imagine myself having a heated debate with them.... Wonder what a Tonsil is in german.....

I understand your concerns, but IMO riding without a helmet is not in the same category as littering / driving irresponsibly.

According to Googly Translate, it's "tonsil"?
