Hey stop hating lol...

Once you have saved up for the dropper post you will have to get rid of the fannypack because it will destroy itself on the rear tyre :P

Edit: so you may as well save for a proper hydration pack at the same time.

So here is the ring fitted on my Intense... it's not the N/W but I've got an E Thirteen chain guide and a zee rear mech :)

The blue on that regular single ring is nicer than the blue on the NW.

With a Zee RD and that LS1 guide you shouldn't have any chain retension issues.

You may just want to shift in your chainguide though. Both the top and the bottom parts need to be brought in closer to the chainring. Especially the top.

My bike shop helped me fit the guide and they said that is a good position... otherwise I'll see if I can jiggle with it and see how that goes

That's the problem right there

Yup... that is a problem. I know of some LBSers that have never seen a chain guide in real life.

Here's roughly what it should look like...

See, no gaps on the top guide for the chain to jump out of.

That black stuff on the inside of the top guide wear-plate is self adhesive velcro (the soft half). This makes the guide a little bit more quiet, and less like a pepper grinder
