I have always believed that people who can afford to enter races such as the B & B Decent are good people - how wrong am I.

From the rats in the basement, to the sharks in the penthouse - it's not that far.

No, you shouldn't. Good fr Goose, good for Gander and all that ...

Hope these guys get their comeuppance.

Sure; wrong is wrong is wrong. All I meant is that a starving oke stealing food is easier to understand and accept than someone with a bit of Tom swiping stuff off a bike.

At the end of day three my partner and I racked our bikes on my bike trailer then went to the finish to wait for two friends before heading back to the big smoke.

On returning to the trailer some low life scum-bag had stolen my 142 x 12 axel out of my Santa Cruze.

We had locked the two bikes together, luckily, otherwise I guess the whole bike would be missing.

Must have been the same bugger that stole a friend of mine's through axles in Underberg at the Sani this year.

What a tosser!

Agree....I do a bit of flyfishing as well on the vaal river...frequently see substance catchers jigging for fish(illegal) and to be honest, I don't have a problem with that. Then you see some idiot papgooiers, brannas in one hand, tjop in the other... keeping fish in a net just for the sake of it..slegmense.

IS it exotic enough to do some pi work with the race photos.

that was before the race, that scum bag clearly left his at home.

Wonder if it's the reverse being the end of the race

Sorry to hear about that. Money often has an inverse relationship to values.

To the OP, sorry for your loss and for the slight hijack

This sickness is everywhere, on Sunday for the first time at our local holy SWISS golf club there were warning signs not to leave golf bags unattended outside the restaurant due to the fact that some have been stolen lately. We usually leave them parked outside the restaurant while having a snack / drink.

Talk about scum BAGS

Thats bollocks... didnt someone elses same axle get nicked at sani this year?

Are these things made of gold?

Correct - I can remember this happening at the Sani this year. Some guy had to make a plan by putting standard bolts through his axles to be able to ride! Amazing how some rider (riders) just have no respect for their fellow MTBrs! If you leave a part behind, or break something, take the knock yourself and dont go STEAL another riders parts! Hope the guy is caught!!!

Sjoe, that kinda stuff really hits a nerve with me. I am ashamed to share a planet with some of my fellowmen when I see needless damage being done like that. :cursing: (but then again, I drive a car and pollute the air, don't I? Oops...)
