Thanks. Still thinking about going to the finish today. Will be a 85km ride to get there on the road bike. And the weather is not great this morning although it should clear up this afternoon. If I go I will post some more tomorrow.

Do you guys think today will be the 1st dual between Berto/Nibs/Valverde/Rodriguez in the mountains? I need to know if I should make a plan to watch the last 2hrs. If you guys think they will stick it out to the serious mountains later then I wont go through the effort

GC guys not concerned about Rodriguez as he is aiming for the polka dot jersey.. and almist 60min behind in GC. So he has freedom to go for that.

Maybe Nibs and Contador to try put time in between them and some of the other challengers?

Tomorrow is a rest day. I think we will see quite a few of the top teams wanting to flex their muscles While Nibs lost the yellow yesterday it would change very little in the way that the other contenders approach taking time off him. The next real opportunity to take time from Nibs would be stage 13 on Friday. I am no cycling tactical genius, but if I was El Berto (probably the most explosive attacker on climbs in this year's race) I would try and reduce the deficit today and on Friday. It all of course depends on what support he and the other top contenders get today. With a rest day looming I suspect that the domestiques are going to pull out all the stops to keep the pace nice and high. I do not expect a break away to take the honours, but there is still a lot of riding left in the Tour, so who knows... I guess we will simply have to wait and see :)

Yes true about JRod! Was hoping he would have a good tour. Would love him to shape in the mountains and take a stage or 2

He very well could take a stage or 2..

He was very clear from the start that he would go for stage wins and not the GC, just commentators (phil and co) obviously were not paying attention.

Well balls to the walls today for GC guys... I hope.
