“Yes, it would be nice for him to finish the Tour, but it was a group decision that enough is enough and we have a lot of goals for him in the second half of the season.”

For me, seeing footage like this makes the whole Tour package complete. Those behind the scenes shots and comments. Keep it coming

The interesting thing that the aussies really have it sorted when it comes to garnering support for their sport teams. Giving recognition to the supporters, letting then in on the inside.

Do any of the other teams do this ?

Meanwhile on rest day

Cavendish returned to the Tour on Monday to join his Omega Pharma-Quick Step team at their press conference in Lastours, just north of Carcassonne, on the race's second rest day, where it was also announced that the squad would be known as Etixx-Quick Step from 2015, employing the name of the Omega Pharma company's sports nutrition products.

I'm federal agent, Jack Bauer, and today was the longest day ride of my life. Events occurred in real time (50m from the line).

The Dutch national lottery will sponsor Team Belkin in 2015, the Telegraaf report Monday morning. The Lotto will invest in a unique joint project with the BrandLoyalty speedskating team of multiple Olympic champion Sven Kramer.

"We are now working on the last details," Team Belkin manager Richard Plugge said. "We were already working on this plan before we knew Belkin would end their sponsorship but it became more concrete in June. When the contracts have been signed, and it looks very promising, this is great news for the team and for Dutch cycling."

Who will be on the podium? Besides Nibali that should win it. Which 2 from Bardet, Valverde, Pinot, Peraud or TJ? Bardet & Pinot must gain time in mountains to limit losses in TT. Going to be close.
