Is Magoebaskloof absolute hill phobic friendly?

Field will definitely be bigger.

Too much climbing for me to do well so I'll be hoping to end in the middle somewhere. Hopefully close to Nick if he isn't still celebrating the Sharks next weekend!

You are should have put money on the game - you got it right :)

Oh, and any farmer riding anyone off the road or pointing a shotgun at anyone should and will spend time in prison learning the meaning of appropriate response.

Firstly you are on his private land and trespassing. He has every right to use his shotgun on his land. The fact that you are in the way is unlucky!!!

Just as you would do if you woke up one sunday to find a bunch of guys riding their motorbikes and smoking on you property in jhb.

Especially when they smoke and flick their stomps into a dry forest worth R20-30 million.

I have had it done to me regularly by my neighbours cos they didn't realise it was me.

You are not allowed to shoot an intruder in your own house unless your life is directly threatened. Shooting a Cyclist or even threatening a cyclist with a firearm will land you with murder/attempted murder charges.

Your riding cyclists off the road comment is insensitive as to our recent history here.

Your warnings and threats do not paint a realistic picture of the farm owner/MTB rider relationship here. As I have said, many farmers, myself included and others I have listed, will most certainly not shoot at, threaten or ride you off the road.

MTBers do not generally smoke or burn down plantations or destroy property here.

They may be annoyed and may close off their farms in the future so permission is always advised.

Please let us know which farm is yours so we may avoid it at all costs.

If in doubt or if shot at contact me or other members of Tzaneen Cycling Club or Letaba Agri Union.

We have a farm on the Georges valley road, near the letaba river bridge, below the dam wall

Unfortunately we have had different experiences with both MTB and motorbikes on ours and neighbours farms.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, we also do not allow motorbikes or quad bikes on our properties due to bad behaviour.

In general MTB riders should not be painted with the same brush as off road motor sport enthusiasts.

You are not a very nice person and I have no desire to ride on your land with that kind of agressive and abrasive attitude. In fact take your shotgun and stick it where the monkey sticks his nuts

Firstly - thanks I will do so, if it keeps you off my land, my plan works.

Secondly: Would you feel pretty relaxed having a bunch of people smoking in your forest, with the potential of it being burnt to the ground and 30 years of waiting for your crop to mature and R20 million rand income gone?

If you do, whats your address, my mates and I want to come burn some rubber and smoke in your garden, oh and with no respect for your property, sure you won't mind as you seem like a very nice person.

I 100% agree, I hate mx bikes and quads on my farm, I do welcome any mtber onto my property, even welcome to come by the house a have a cold one. But all Mtbers need to understand the mountain and how twitchy forest owners get about "city" people in the forest and smoking etc. this is probably my biggest fear.

we must meet up and do a ride in the area sometime. I am jhb based but frequently up there for business/ holiday

I know the area extremely well especially where you are.I have been hiking, fishing and riding my bikes both mtb and road in Magoebaskloof and the Wolkberg since 1984 and have relatives who farm in Ofcalaco as well as friends who farm and live in the area and can thankfully say that non of the people I have met display your nastiness.

Keep your farm.Magoebaskloof does not deserve you

Dude could you not see I was pulling your leg in that post?

All my posts have been warnings to others about experiences I have had, not ONCE did I say I would treat you like this.

Some farmers are extremely aggressive, intact I have one or two as friends and their actions are from years of hassles and consequences of "trespassers" lack of respect for the property and they are just GATVOL.

infact in my next post I invite ALL mtbers to come have a cold one at my house.

Sorry if I seemed aggressive - it wasn't intended.

Guys and Girls of THE HUB---net so bietjie info wat agter die skerms aangaan hier by Tzaneen Cycling Club(wat julle nie van weet nie !!!)

JULLE WEET OOK DAT DIE PREEKWOORD Sê 'N VROU KAN ALLES BETER AS 'N MAN DOEN !!!!!!!!!!!!

So cancel julle ander races/verpligtinge vir die naweek van 3/4 Mei en kom Tzaneen toe
