Im looking at joining a cycling club in the fourways/northcliff area.

These are the options so far

Cycle lab is R1000 with a few benefits

Northcliff (no price on there website) and appears no benefits

Complete cyclist is R750 with a kit but no benefits.

Club 100 (no price on there website) and appears no benefits

Based on above cycle lab looks like the place to be. The only thing I don't like is the size of the club its HUGE

is there any other clubs I should look at? I don't mind paying but want a nice kit and benefits that's not a big club

Any help would be appreciated

The benefit of a big club is that on the weekend rides there is different groups riding at different speed with backup to assist. CL has nice kit with good bibs which you won't be able to buy at that price. I can not speak for the other clubs.

Cycle Science in Broadacres. Dont know exactly how their club rides work, but i know they do have bunchs leaving on weekend mornings. Cant remember fees. Been a member there for a couple of years, but not joined one of their rides...... Oops

Was with Cycle Lab, groups too big. Aggression and crashes on group rides.

Joined Club 100 - groups much smaller and I prefer it.

Just curious - how long ago was this? hasn't been my experience (last 3 yrs)...

I've just joined Club Bryton USN, they are based in Honeydew. Fee is R1,250.00 which includes Decca Bib shorts, shirt and R600.00 worth of USN supplements. You also get Access to the clubs online store. The guys at the shop are really friendly and helpful. There's a small test track outside their shop where they have lap races every Tuesday night, they also have group rides on the weekends. I did quite a bit of investigating in clubs and i'm pretty chuffed with the choice i've made. Kit looks awesome and the shorts are super comfy which is a plus.
