Hey, why not see how many peeps are interested and start selling 29er specific water bottles, can hold a litre instead of 750 mls......okay, they probably already have camelbacks ....

But by the time all the 29er specifics are added I guess that could add a kilo or 2 extra weight as well.

My gloves is 29er specific!!! :whistling:

Or yoou could just buy a zero offset seat pillar and carry on using your favourite saddle.

I love people that fix a problem that never existed.

Hi Eldron

A recent post on the hub had a rider, 1.98m tall and on a XL frame, WITH a 0deg offset post that needed 10mm fore movement of his saddle, and that is recommended after 3x professional bike setups done.

So maybe, in the odd case a need

I think this saddle was co-developed with Cannondale, after feedback from fitment centers that the zero offset still left a big enough gap on the pedal drop line to be addressed

Well, what you may not have considered is that for peeps using dropper posts, there is no Zero offset option.

I like the idea of a more adjustable saddle, but calling it 29er specific is just garbage.

Agreed. With nolipoli too.

Call it a "ultra forward saddle" or "super adjustable" saddle. Jumping on the 29er bandwagon just makes my spidey sense go crazy.

It will be called Thar. Bikerumor called it "the 29R specific".....

Do you really need a dropper post on a 29er? I didn't think jeep tracks, fire trails, tarmac and Porters markets got that hairy. ;)

Hogwash though out by a ponytail while in the toilet. Maybe the new saddle will roll easier over obstacles when on a twentie naainer.

What people will think out to make you believe your choice is the correct one and abandon your earlier proud item baffles my mind.

Happens all the time on dh bikes. Getting a setup where the seat doesn't buzz the tire when you bottom the suspension is a major ball ache if you are a short @rse like me

I thought that's what it was. I guess i will have that problem too if i did dh

It's called Thar and I know why.

It's an old whaling term (thar she blows) and they use it quite specifically in the case of this saddle.

They are not so obliquely referring to some, I think the term is, lump-of-blubber-with-too-much-money-and-not-enough-brain, as in "let's see if we can harpoon another bunch of them into buying this saddle".

And I have no doubt they will succeed.

Singletrackworld and a few others are also calling it "29er specific" so my guess would be that Fizik released it at Eurobike using that term.

Either way - more choice is good. If it gets people at the end of the bell curve into a comfy position then great.

Think 29er Enduro bikes (like the new Niner WFO 9 below). I hate that they have become so capable...
