Burger - Racetec Brain Fart

Hey Guys and girls,

My racetec results for the Burger weren't posted as apparently I didn't finish the race????

I recorded over the initial timing mat, the one above Hels, and the one at the half way point, but somehow the chip failed to register at the finishing timing mat.

I recorded a time of 02:51:44 on my sigma (from a C seeding), and therefore have no strava or other form of GPS to back up my claim.

Very upset about this. :cursing:

Have you phoned PPA/Racetec - there might be Actionphoto photos of you near the finish line you can show as proof?

Your time would have been good enough for 5th in C. If you came 5th there should be a photo supporting it

Yea phone them they are very friendly and helpful. Had my chip mounted incorrectly for my first event but had the Garmin to backup the time and they put up my result in accordance to that result. It's worth a shot to call them to see what they can sort out in the absence of a GPS recorded time perhaps.

had an issue at Lagoon race where the chip probably didnt register on the start mat and i got credited with starting with the last group giving me a very slow time. one email and attached endomondo link and they sorted within 2 working days.

on another occassion in a 32km Mtb challenge, no end result on the timing mat. sent them an email, they asked me my estimated time I finished, I think they looked at video/photo footage and bob's your uncle. (had no GPS tracking)

I always try to hear the beep but sometimes you cross with others and other times i'm too vrek moeg to hear anything

I found a photo of myself celebrating across the line, likely it had a timestamp.

My racetec chip should've worked :whistling:
