It is the only road race that is remotely fun ! OK maybe the race is K@k but the train trip there and back is a jol . So yes I will do it again .

IanC: they only seed you shortly before the race so if you license then you can let them know.

 

Last year they took the top 200 per Vet category by index. Unfortunately they nowhere near filled those groups so I'm wondering if they are even gonna have the categories again. Also the A's caught some of VA and all of VB last year so I think that it caused some unhappiness.

With Pleasure IanC!!! We plan to make it as fun as we can, it will take long, but I can promise that we will have an absolute jol. We all did a Tour from Jhb to Durban together in March and I haven't had so much fun, on and off the bike in a long time!!!!

The Argus is a jol if ridden as a fun ride, stop take pics chat to the people and the time flies. Just make sure you have a decent seeding so as not to start in the open groups as they start close to midday and that is hell.

It is actaully very simple . There are a few trains that only transport Argus passengers to Capetown . The train stop on one of the platforms where you will stay . It is not 5 star accomodation but it is good enough for us fellas who just go to have a good time . Food on the train not to bad and the beers are cold . I know Scotty went with another "operator" this year and I don't know he he liked it . Cost this year was about R1200PP . I could post photos of this years train ride but I know children also visit this site !!!!
