What I think will be a potentially brilliant consequence of Steffans record breaking win is that it's going to drastically increase the attention of the race in the eyes of all the top dogs in the endurance bike packing sphere, which means that next year's race could have quite a stellar looking starting line up. This would be fantastic for Andy who has selflessly done so much to launch this race in South Africa. It would also give a low cost opportunity to lots of aspiring saffas to do the race!!

We had endless issues with Nevarest Nevarwork so they given the remaining riders dedicated tracking units and trackmybike so can see the remaining riders here: http://trackmybike.co.za/index.php/live-track?so=1&in=300&ti=43&sd=2015-10-07%2005:00:00&ed=2015-11-20%2008:00:00

Nevarest had some issues with tracking the Durban Dash as well - they may need to do some damage control :(

Twitter says Steffen was in Wellington a few minutes ago ... what an amazing effort!

Flipping great effort!  Well done Steffan.

The benchmark has been set.  With such a ride it may take some time to better this feat?

Andrew Bradford just finished 11d15h25m. Congrats Andrew!

I'm probably confused, but wasn't Andrew riding with Colin? If so, where's Colin? Or it that another Andrew?

Edit: I see from FB, that Colin overnighted in Wellington and is due in CT today.

49 degs C in Limpopo to 5 degs C at the top of the Swartberg pass - these guys are bred a bit special.

They were together all the way till yesterday. Well done to Colin and Andrew for sticking together for so long. Riding together as a pair is in some ways a much greater challenge than riding on your own. I'm very impressed with how well they worked together.

Colin finished this morning in 12d 05h 41m
