Until people stop saying"oh, it was an accident" and the law stops being lenient on bad drivers, the carnage will not stop. "Sorry" is not good enough. People must be held accountable for their disregard of others, especially when their actions have or could have cost another person their life.

Hoor nou eers daarvan. Dis baie tragies. Simpatie aan beide families. Gaan vanaand kyk na mtb roete wat herstel moet word na verspoelings. Moeg na lang dag maar met sulke tragiese nuus het ek nuwe moed om bergfiets in die area van Breedekloof tot nuwe hoogtes te dra sodat ons so min as moontlik op die pad hoef te wees.

It's as if we are fighting a loosing battle, looking at the increase of vehicles in bellow tweets, it's getting worse, it will continue, especially if nothing gets done about it, even the smallest peep from one helps, e.g. Educate road users, reduce lawlessness, more cycle paths, stricter laws to protect cyclists, etc. We cannot just sit on our hands and do nothing or expect others to do it for us, we need to stand up and be counted, you, me, ALL of us. One voice can have a domino effect on others so that it spreads like a wild bush fire and we have 10s or even 100s of thousands of voices screaming on top of their voices for safer roads. Use facebook, twitter, instagram, blogs, emails, whatsapp, sms, gtalk, telnet, ssh, forums, etc. to make noise about it. RIP ladies.
