Nah, everyone knows this the only way to roll. Throw out the shorts and get with the Tri-look. Helps toughen that banus and you get a nice all over bronze, none of these fancy rapha wearing tan lines when you're on the beach or in the supermarket checking the laydeez.

Don't deny it...

I wear normal underwear with my cycling shorts (Mr Price Sport brand). I've tried without underwear, but don't like it, and I don't have problems with chafing if I wear underwear with the cycle shorts.

I throw them in the wash (use short wash cycle) with my cycling clothes after a ride, using normal washing powder and fabric softener. So far no problems and they have lasted very well. But what works for me might not work for others.

Never, ever use fabric softner with any stretchy fabric!!

gonna go commando this afternoon and try it out

Wow, what a difference - I did a quick 20km and it feels 100x better, no undies riding up my crack anymore, much more comfy.

Just want to confirm - so it is hand wash with cold water and which soap, normal body soap or laundry soap.

Thanking you guys from the bottom of my crotch for the "commando" advice.

In the washing machine with your normal washing soap - NO SOFTNER

All my sporting clothes go in the 'tomatic on the 'quick wash' cycle. 15 minutes, cold water. No softener.

Skid marks are there for a reason.

So you know which way they go on the next time daaah :whistling:

Skid marks in you pants are like spitting in your food (to prevent other school hostel kids from stealing it) .... A ploy so desperate to keep what is yours that you are not sure you want to use your own afterwards!

Last year at W2W there was 1 guy who put his shorts on back to front and rode the best part of day 2 like that. He knew something was wrong because it was HURTING, but thought it was from a long day 1 in the saddle. Eventually his partner pointed out the mistake that happened early morning, half asleep, tired, dressing in the dark, sitting on your mattress in a 2 man tent trying to put a black pair of stretchy pants on the right way. Easy mistake, but I don't know how on earth he didn't notice it earlier, like when he got on the bike.
