Shame man!

You always leave off that little bump going to the cell tower...

It's gonna start thinking you don't love it. ;)

near the end, legs are usually almost finished by then...

must remember to mute the GoPro this time...

I can smell the beer from there, I don't see hills from 65km, I just smell beer.

But seriously that cellphone tower thing isn't bad, just steep...its on concrete and its short...so a quick swim and out of the saddle up to the top and you are smiling

Yes...always cold at the start. Dont go to the start line too early...it is self seeding. Just relax at your car with some coffee and tjoons. Start with arm warmers if you really have to...it warms up pretty quick that side of the magalies

Your all forgetting the section where you turn off the sand road and hook left towards the "monster climb" I always says it's not the hill it's the section before it that kills you... prepare for rocks in the grass and lots of both.....

Yeah the tower is easy section, you feel like lance going up there cause the back end of the shorter races are battling their way up, so you feel like a pro still being able to ride it..... The section just before the tower/concrete strip can get rather hot and dusty

Danke.. I am okay with rocky ascents as I always just try and spin up and conserve energy.. now sand aint my friend.. by that I also just spin and let the bike find it way through.. else I ride on the edge.

I see they make a big deal of the descent after the monster. . And I see its rough terrain.. like what I am used to.. I dont have many manicured routes that I ride.. it's normally a case of finding a line through while we boendoe bash. At least that descent is wide so I wont hold anyone up or visa versa.

Here's a vid I did of the downhill from the top of the Nek. Was done a year or so ago (Jan 2013), so the rocks have probably moved a little...

Following Swift01 down, until he wasn't going fast enough :D

Back when you still had your Merida 26 HT, me on a dual 26er

Kul jou hier...kul jou daar en siedaar....swift01 is at the top of the hill....oh and he knows all the tricks in the books....wants to start a conversation about doping in the pro circles...or religion going up the steepest part. He also half wheel's like a baws
