ibruegge Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Polar CS300 with heart rate strap. I don't think I managed to get the thing to work through an entire ride without it failing. In the year I tried, it was fixed, replaced, serviced about 4 times, HR strap replaced etc... dreadful.

I agree, the worst thing I ever bought, and it wasn't cheap...

JJACK Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 This particular seat post mount. Used to mount extra bottle cage on the seat post of my dualie... First one broke straight off after few rides. Got a replacement from bikeshop... Second one did exactly same thing. Maybe it will work for road bikes on the smooth stuff wouldn't recommend it for MTB.

I can't believe their engineers decided to sign that of and sell it.

I can't believe their engineers decided to sign that of and sell it. I spent a few Saturday afternoons holding the thing up to a mic on the pc with the bat-whistling going on. Usually took 4 or 5 attempts but i got a file together eventually. I ran it for a couple of years, it wasnt cheap - the unit is now dysfunctional.
RoboLuke Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Not gear but an event - I am still peed off about the ASG Kia Kurgersdorp game reserve race...last year I think. I cant get my money but I can stop supporting ASG

Cellar Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Careful now. Another hubber sells this stuff. So? Are they defending the claims against them? Why must this bloke be careful with his experience?

One bad experience in a particular individual does not a make USN a terrible product. And looking at your symptoms, it would seem more likely that you had some sort of (viral) infection than it being USN's fault. And if we're going to start accepting anecdotal evidence, then USN CytoPower has gotten me through 100s of competitive races, so I dont know how you're saying it doesn't work. Proper evidence shows that supplementation is markedly beneficial to athletic performance.
DACoetzee Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 So? Are they defending the claims against them? Why must this bloke be careful with his experience? There is a difference between sharing an experience and bad mouthing guys who do use/sell supplements...
