DH Internet meltdown ahead of PMB World Cup

And so i can see that the internet is indeed going to have a Fukushima size meltdown leading up to the World Cup round here in PMB ...

Already there are tweets from Brendan "I-may-as-well-stay-at-home-cus-I-suck-at-pedalling" Fairclough saying that he will be on a 650B Scott Genius LT ...

Then an interview with Nigel Page from CRC showing the Custom 650B Nukeproof Mega AM that Sam Hill will be on ...

For the amount of bad press the DH gets on the one hand - there is no other round of the WC that people rock up with Custom bikes for - which is pretty cool as it is driving the advances in Trail Bikes as well as DH bikes in my opinion.

Pity for them though as they dont know that I plan to put in some extra rock gardens at the top and bottom of the track. hahaha

But , what if they come across this post on thehubsa????

Bigger rocks at the top, "redo" Cloud nine, make Hiabo scarier, maybe a nice rhythm section through the trees on the left after the tables instead if the pedally bit in the middle...... The bottom section is cool I think. Maybe a few line changes in the Aerodrome? Re-use some of the older lines? Give them the same track but a new track!

hahaha! I just had to have my say on Vital. I don't think many of those keyboard warriors realize that PMB has its own type of gnarly.

The riders like it. It's the back seat riders that don't.

I saw.... hahaha I was going to comment but to be honest its not worth it ...

The one guy there "Maverick-something-or-other" always choons the track every year. Quite a bitter character ..

But I think of it as neither Hill nor Fairclough will win in PMB as they are not suited to the track - so its all about damage control ... So let them have it -

There is not another round in the world that brings out this much hype around technology and what people will be riding come race day ...

And then when its all said and done - A DH bike has always won ... With Full DH rigs on the top 2 spots at worlds this last year.

With my limited experience I think I can say that the PMB track has a bit of everything. Maybe not as rocky as some of the rockiest tracks or as steep as the steepest tracks but by George you need to be a pretty good all rounder to podium there. You can't only be a vertical mercenary or a Geologist (rock specialist) to win here...... Oh wait..... Scrap that. You can be a geologist and win there  You need to be a pretty competent all rounder with a fair bit of fitness (or a LOT of luck) to feature any where the top of the podium

Nige keep up the awesome work and don't worry about those f'n whingin' poms.
