Hi guys, please have a look at the pics and let me know if you think a rear 650B wheel will fit on the rear end of the bike. The shocks i am not worried about as I could just buy 650 B shocks. Thanks

Depends on the tyre, I doubt you could get more than a 2.1

As has already been stated, stop by your lbs and ask if you can try a 650b wheel to check

Should work provided you go 27.5X 2.0.

Ltd options on tyre brands..

I think only Pacenti, Geax and Maxxis have available in that size.

Good luck

The kenda karma 2.0 will fit to .

I had this tyre on but I did not like it , I managed to swop a racing ralph 2.25 for a racing ralph 2.1 off a new bike so it will fit .

Just bear in mind that if it rains for a couple of days before or even on the day off a race or training ride you won't have enuf clearance with all the pic up of mud & rubbish off the track

We checked at LBS and 650B Kenda 2.0 Karma tyre have a higher profile than some 650B 2.1 tyres, we measured and found there is also a difference in width between the difference makes of tyres. All 2.0 is not the same width between the difference makes. Check the profile as there is a big difference between different makes of 650B tyres. We measure the circumference of a 29 tyre, 26 tyre and 650B tyre. The low profile 650B tyre was close to a high profile 26 tyre and the high profile 650B tyre measure about halfway between the high profile 26 tyre and the 29 tyre.

So if your frame cannot take the higher profile 650B tyre it is maybe not worth to do the conversion.

In your scenario, what was a 'high profile 26 tyre" ? What width and make. Thanks
