Looks to me like I must fit the little BB motor, maybe Turbo it?

I won't tell anyone if you tell me where you got it (the BB motor) from.

Ouens, just trap.

We will be getting sub 3 with a smile.

Yeah right!

I will trap as best as I can but that does  not guarantee anything.

The head is already in the wrong place.

The legs are only as strong as the head.

I have driven both the end of the old route - Kya Sands to top of cedar, as well as the N14 in the last two days.

Everyone has forgotten how bad the N14 was.  The hill from the bridge to the top is about 1.7km, and then you still have 2 or 3 undulating hills before coming off to Summit, not including the slow drag as you get on the N14.

The new route is almost downhill from the top of Cosmo City to the low point of Cedar.  The Cedar climb may be steeper to start than the N14 climb, but it is really only steep for about the first 1.1km, the it flattens out after that for the remaining 1.1km.

The ride will be different, and interesting, everyone is in the same boat, so just go as hard as you have trained for.

Set yourself a realistic goal (mine is a 2.45) and go for it.

According to our coach, cycling is about 20% strength, and 80% psychology.

Remembering that the initial 20% comes from training and a large portion of the 80% is the confidence in that training.

I will try that.

Being quite new to the sport I somehow had a feeling that it might be the case.

It's a crazy sport and it has totally consumed me since my first race .

I think Blue Monster forgot to add that the above will be applicable on a Friday as the clock strikes 12.

It will take you 6 minutes 41 seconds longer than last year.

That's assuming you attack on Summit, rest on Heartbreak hill, attack on the downhill past Kyalami, and wheelsuck the rest of the way.

Sorry, almost forgot ~ don't forget to attack on the last climb as well.
