most LBS should have else can order for you

Never been into ANY bike shop that has chainring bolts for single chain ring setups.

They have packs of standard ones.

ONE shop managed to find some in their spares boxes, and those they had ground down themselves. (They do a lot of SS builds)

According to the shop. their suppliers just say to them "We're waiting for some to come" and then they don't hear back.

must be lucky as Solomons in woodmead do and they will also order short chainring bolts and take a day to get them

Or just add some washers to old bolt (at the back) if you dont want washers to be seen

8mm ID washers do the trick. Though the OD of the ones you get in packs at the hardware store, etc. are too big (at least for an MTB setup).

Same bike shop happened to have a set of spacers like below that came with a set of SRAM chainring bolts

Maybe it's just in Cape Town.

Been told upteen times on thehubsa to go get track bolts from my LBS but nobody has.

Also derailleur hanger bolts work too. But again, nobody has any spare, only with hangers.
