Hakahana Enduro

HAKAHANA TRAILS

Recommended Posts

Please do it over a long weekend / public holiday.

Maybe September the 24th (a Thursday). We can can drive down on Thursday, practice & play on Friday. Race on Saturday. Drive back Sunday. We'll definitely be there!

If you want to do it earlier: 27 April or 1 May.

Sounds like a brilliant idea!

SP3   2:33      2:34     2:28

SP4   2:52      2:48     2:28

Possibly a few seconds on SP4 but they look pretty spot on to me.

strava is a good indicator but can be +-10 seconds off.

GoPro was not calculated with the splits, just by seconds.

wow, never trusting Strava again, didn't realise it was so far off, do you think it's the app or the phone you're on? I have nothing else to compare it to, i.e. no GoPro or other GPS device

Often it depends where people have set the segments to start and finish, so in my case it wasn't too  far off because the segments would have been shorter than race run.

Went down a trail following a friend and our times were 7 seconds different, so its probably a combination of everything.

PS I wouldnt trust strava too much dudes.....  go for a ride with more than one gps and compare files.

its creative at best...

We wont be using Strava anytime soon don't worry... But it was interesting to see how inaccurate it is against clocked times.
