Without giving too much away...

Do i go with a shop soiled 4 year old carbon comp frame, or a 4 year old club member's high modulus carbon frame?

Same bike?

No, shop soiled is a merida, the pre owned is Italian

Does change things "slightly".

I guess it would depend on what the frames are. Also how much do you trust the club member?

Would he stand by you in the case of a warranty claim? Warranty stops if you're the second owner.

Would you be asking these questions if it were a set of underpants?

High modulus is not cannondale.

Prices are very similar yes. My onlt concern is that the shop soiled item is a composite frame, which I've read one should rather stay away from

Any carbon frame is a composite frame :)
