Guys, thanks for the advise. Wanted to get my pyga a xfusion, but only the bike shed in ct currently service the forks and they aren't allowed to sell service kits/parts due to guarentee obligations. If i was based in ct, it was no issue, but to courier a fork down from gauteng to cape town for each service is probably going to cost more than the service itself.

Still have to decide though, otherwise i'll have to go for the rockshox reba 120 mm for which i will have no problem getting service kits.

if you go the rs route then rather consider the revelation

Hi Guys, 120mm Revelations aren't easy to come by, supposedly only getting a new shipment in June/July.

I am in exactly the same boat, in Jhb, want a XFusion Trace concerned about services though, I'm too excited to get my pyga and definitely can't wait for a revelation.

So reba and easy service, or trace and hopefully in the future someone will eventually be able to service them here. To be honest I am not very good at getting forks serviced regularly, and have never had an issue with them(fox).

To be honest I am not sure if I will notice the difference between the reba and trace but I am going to go based on reviews and advice here (thanks Guys). So I have decided to get the X Fusion, it's about the ride, I would hate to regret it every time I ride! I will worry about the service when it happens, I may live to regret it but at least it will only be once a year or so..........?

Hi Guys, I have my Pyga and the Trace - loving it! The fork and the bike are incredible! I just smile and go faster! Only 'disadvantage' is before I was easily scared now the old scary stuff is just fun!

From carbon 26 hardtail to pyga and the pyga feels faster, just as or more nimble and I can't say there's a significant difference in climbing except that the pyga has more grip! So I have a permanent grin.... What more could you want!

Thanks for the advice!

Hi Schnoodle.

We are involved with Gravity Imports (the importers for Xfusion Shox). Currently we deal with most shops country wide. All aftermarket Xfusion suspension products carry's 2 year warranty which will be void if non authorized service centres try work on them. Xfusion has a few service procedures which is different to other manufacturers, and if the wrong procedures are followed, the damper could severely be damaged. That is the reason for us not currently supplying spares to shops to do servicing themselves. We are a growing company who will set up authorized service centres in the future. Also note that service intervals on Xfusion is almost double that of other manufacturers (FOX, RS) and there is a no plastic policy on the internals... so quality is top notch. As far as the Trace (or Xfusion on PYGA) is concerned, Patrick and Mark from PYGA did extensive testing on different forks. They found that the only forks complimenting the PYGA frames (ramps up/small bump compliance) we the new Rock Shox Pike, and pretty much all Xfusion forks. Also the Trace Unicrown is the stiffest lightest 34mm stanction 29er fork on the market (40% less flex on the CSU, and 170g lighter than the more expensive FOX) and a 2 year warranty. Unfortunately the last Trace from the last shipment was sold yesterday. We are expecting the next Trace and Slide shipment to arrive in about 6 weeks time. I would suggest a backorder to secure one. Gravity Imports also offers a -10% pre order/pre pay option.

The X-Fusion that Action cycles got for me (Velvet) through TBS is running well and is really a very very nice fork!

Surely this is frame specific - would one put a Pike on the Oneten frame?

Hi Guys, still loving my Pyga and the xfusion trace. Going to get it changed to 140mm when it has its service just to see how it goes. Will let you know. Also have a Tompson elite covert dropper on route! Now to practice so my skills can improve to justify the ride! Loving every minute!

Sorry to high jack your thread, just for a second, But all PYGA owners please pop over to the other PYGA thread and see the riding jersey we're trying to get made, just for the PYGA/TheHubSA owners/riders.

It's with total support from Pyga and TheHubSA.
