@Rabubi Posted April 23, 2014 Share I'm pretty useless when it comes to fixing thing on my MTB - probably because im terrified that I cock something up. So I innevitably end up taking my bike in for silly things and pricey services. My question is; has anyone done one of these courses? Izak Posted April 23, 2014 Share Bought myself a fairly descent and complete tool kit and have been servicing myself and must say it really has taught me a lot about my bike and also saves a shizzload of money as shop services are bloody expensive these days.Bought a full bleeding kit as well and manage to bleed brakes etc. One thing I would like to get someone to show me the ropes on is wheel building as I think there is a bit of an art to it. (seal kits etc), LBS for me is not an option and omnico, the agents for fox in SA, does not sell directly to public. What oil should be used in the fork? What oil should be used in the fork?Bearing man for bearings....get my fork seal kit from josh on northumberland...Site wise...parktool is normally a good site for the basics but for the rest...google whatever topic. like Servicing a 2013 RockShox Reba RLT. and watch the youtube videos.
