Is motorcycling allowed?

And today's most random part ordered for a motorcycle goes to.......

I don't classify myself as a Anorak or a Rivet counter but I like to think that when anyone buys one of the bikes I have rebuilt they notice the small attention to detail.  Like tiny side cover rubbers that stop the side cover from vibrating against the frame and cracking....

I have the same tendency, it’s sometimes painful being a perfectionist but I avoid a lot of stress by doing things right.  ( drives my wife mad and drives me mad sometimes too)

And here's why I came here in the first place. An unusual sighting this afternoon up Chappies.IMG_20230722_144509.jpg.37fb8120306d7f309b026d1d6e8c0f01.jpgIMG_20230722_150021.jpg.888aaaac7940cf6e93b4228d61059802.jpgIMG_20230722_143931_1.jpg.f986d33e2b59d45904d9c63b9820ff2c.jpg

Apparently it’s stuck, on a sandbank… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Edit: Apparently not, according to press releases, she was lying at anchor, charging batteries.

I also read another report that said a crew member that had passed away wanted their ashes scattered there, and that is why it was there.

It is terrible to have this tendency and a dirt bike unless you have a very deep wallet (or big sponsorship :)). First tip over and you have a decision; replace scratched plastics (etc) or try and ignore. Been ongoing for 40 odd years.

Exactly - which is why I am not going to do anything crazy to the Tenere.

I spent thousands on my DT200 getting it perfect and then from Dec 15 to Jan 23 I did a grand total of 800km - that's 114km per year because I was too scared to ride it.   stupid stupid stupid

As "fresh" as it was out on the bike, it was such an awesome day to be riding.

Also managed a quick bike test ride.

For those of you in the Table View / Durbanville area ... how far out do you need to ride to find fun trails to ride you adventure bikes, and be able to get them nice and dirty like @Spokey pics above my post?

I have been eyeballing this little machine. Looks cool. I may nip over to Mosselbaai this week for a look see.

That is a quick little spin for you
