I actually see what is causing the problem here. Your continued use of the word please is the issue. It makes you sound nice, friendly and accommodating.

Me again.........

Better?

I am also trying to keep it "clean" from myside as I figure at some point a person with some form of legal / administrative authority will be reviewing the correspondence and I want it read in my favour.

Funny enough I been looking at an older Ducati to get my teeth into, either the 600 or 900. ( or 750) .

looking at forums, marketplace, they are ridiculously cheap. Good ones with recent service history including belts can be had for under 3000 quid.

Reckon prices in ZA would be similar, think my good friend Welsh has over estimated its value.

Yaaa - the 900SS is a nice bike but unfortunately it's not one of the real collectable ones and it's overshadowed by the 70's 900SS which is a lot more desirable.   If it was a 888 then I would be on a plane right now to wrestle it out of his hands.

My gut for that bike - he can start at R55K and I think he might have to be prepared to drop.

I've been putting out feelers for my TRX which I don't use anymore and the general feeling is that R45k is where we are at.

Sad, but there's very little disposable income in SA right now - especially for classic bikes.  My brother struggled to sell his 748R and his 999R and had to adjust his expectations, so R100k is way off the mark.

Can’t comment on longevity or reliability but the are an interesting proposition. 5700 quid here.

Motorcycles in China must be scrapped when they reach 13 years old. So the Chinese might not have the motivation or feedback to build bikes that last any longer than that. ☹️

If you want to flog that TRX to a garage that will treasure it…….shout. Be a nice fit in alongside my various twins. Ducati 1098 and 749, Suzuki TL1000S, KTM RC8, Yamaha MT01, BMW BCR 1100R Randy Mamola (factory edition).

@Spokey  I like the triumph triples.

I recall however reading something about small issues on the earlier models. So Probably worth it to look at the latest possible 2nd hand model available in the range.

Yah, a bit late for me, perhaps I was a bit quick to trade, but it is done. I have traded my 2015 1190R on a 2015 Tiger XCx…….will see how it goes. I will give it a year and then if I am dissatisfied…….ditch it. Perhaps swap for a Thruxton ha ha!
